Is 北京 a good first stop?
Beijing can be a practical first stop when PEK, PKX, and the exact rail station are not treated as interchangeable. The city publishes official airport, taxi, ride-hailing, and rail-station guidance, but the useful choice still depends on the current service, walking distance, transfers, luggage, and a confirmed Chinese hotel card.
