How do I get from PVG airport to the Bund?

Option 1 — official taxi
Shanghai's airport guidance puts the official PVG taxi pickup outside Arrival Gate 12 in Terminal 1 and outside Arrival Gate 25 in Terminal 2. Its central reference estimate is around ¥180 and 50 minutes to People's Square, subject to traffic. The Bund is a different destination, so use the meter and treat that figure only as a reference.
Option 2 — Maglev + Metro (fastest in traffic)
The Maglev terminates at Longyang Road, where the official guide directs travelers to transfer to Metro Line 2. It is not a direct train to the Bund. Check the current Maglev timetable and fare, then plan the onward metro or car segment before choosing it.
Option 3 — Metro Line 2
The current airport guide describes Line 2 as the most economical option and estimates about ¥7 and one hour from PVG Terminal 1&2 Station to People's Square. Continue toward the Bund using the current network map; do not rely on an old transfer pattern or timetable.
- Official taxi: current central reference about ¥180 and 50 minutes to People's Square; traffic and the Bund destination change the result.
- Maglev: ends at Longyang Road and requires an onward transfer.
- Metro Line 2: current central reference about ¥7 and one hour to People's Square; continue onward for the Bund.
