Connectivity

See whether a few familiar sites answer on the network you are using right now.

A response only means this phone reached that site just now. No response can be a login page, a weak signal, or the network. This is not a list of what is blocked, and the result is not saved.

Before you land

  • Ask your phone company whether your plan includes data in mainland China, and finish any travel-data setup while you still have a connection you trust.
  • Install the apps you expect to need, including maps, translation, and payment, before the flight.
  • Download the map area you will use while you still have a connection. A map app that has not saved the area cannot help in a tunnel or a dead spot.
  • Hotel Wi-Fi often needs a login page in the browser before anything else will load.
